Intel 11th Gen Core finally allows Windows 11 upgrades

If you're still using an Intel Rocket Lake 11th Gen Core processor and Windows 10 and want to upgrade to Windows 11, good news is finally here: Microsoft has fixed a bug that was discovered in 2021 and lifted the upgrade restriction.

The bug, which exists in the Intel SST Smart Audio driver, affected version numbers 10.29.0.5152, 10.30.0.5152 (two different branches), causes some 11-generation Core to crash on the blue screen when upgrading Windows 11 systems.

At that time, Intel quickly upgraded the new driver, as long as the version number is not lower than 10.29.0.5714, 10.30.0.5714 (pay attention to the last four digits can be), there is no such problem, theoretically can be normal upgrade Windows 11.

But I don't know why, Microsoft has not been liberalized restrictions, the 11th generation Core long-term no chance to upgrade Windows 11.

Recently, Microsoft finally put Intel's new driver on Windows Update, 11-generation Core users as long as the update upgrade, or through the Intel official website to install the new driver, wait patiently for about 48 hours at most, you can see the upgrade option for Windows 11.

As for why the delay of nearly three years, Microsoft did not explain.
