Win11 2023 preview version 25179 released: ISO image free download

Microsoft pushed out a new preview version of Windows 11 for Insider members of the Dev channel, OS version number Build 25179, because 22H2 corresponds to Build 22621/22622, so 25179 is theoretically the development version of the 2023 annual update.

Rather unexpectedly, Microsoft has also released an ISO image for free download:

In terms of new features, the new Explorer is pushed out for all Dev members, and the version also improves the silky smooth experience of the touch keyboard for more efficient input.

The so-called new Explorer, which also adds multi-tab functionality and navigation bar updates, first went live in Build 25136.

Note that downloading the ISO image requires a corresponding Dev Insider account to work, as usual, the version also fixes a large number of bugs, including Excel crashes, taskbar icons overflowing on one side of the screen, and some characters not displayed correctly in the check function in Chinese language.
