The new Windows 365 Preview app access will make it easier for users to access their Cloud PC through the Windows 11 taskbar or Start menu as it can be pinned. With this, a single click opens the portal to the Windows 365 home page where they can stream their listed Cloud PC apps, settings and content on any device.

As usual, the application can be used in full screen or windowed mode, where the latter will allow better access to the local PC. it has a windowed mode button in the connection bar, which you can freely resize (the resolution will also change dynamically as you do).

Microsoft said it plans to ship the Windows 365 app as part of Windows 11 devices soon, but for now, it can be downloaded from the store or directly through windows365.microsoft.com. In addition, the tech giant said it will soon allow companies to provision Windows 365 cloud computers for informal employees such as shift and part-time workers, who typically only need their cloud computers for a limited period of time.

In addition to this app, Microsoft made other cloud PC-related announcements during Ignite 2022, including the general availability of Windows 365 Government Edition, which is designed for Government Community Cloud and Government Community Cloud Advanced organizations in the United States. Citrix HDX Plus for Windows 365, which provides a high-definition user experience, is also in preview now, though the company said it will be generally available later this calendar year.

Finally, Microsoft shared a list of new cloud-optimized IT management features for Windows 365. It also plans to further develop its Cloud PC service to include encryption of Cloud PC disks and single sign-on capabilities using keys managed by the organization's customers.
