Microsoft releases Windows 11 patch update (KB5016691)

Today, Microsoft pushed the KB5016691 preview update for Windows 11. In this update, Microsoft once again fixed multiple printer-related bugs.

Rebooting or installing the printer after patching no longer fails; switching from the Internet Printing Protocol class driver to the standalone hardware driver no longer goes into error mode; and bidirectional communication issues that previously prevented access to device functionality have also been solved.

In addition to fixes for several printer-related issues, this update addresses an issue that prevented Windows 11 SE from trusting certain Microsoft Store apps; and fixes an issue where TWS headsets could stop playing after a progress bar adjustment.

At the same time, this update also brings quality improvements to the servicing stack, bringing users a more robust and reliable servicing stack so that devices can receive and install Microsoft updates.
