Xiaomi’s first vertical fold flagship! Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip satellite communication feature canceled

According to previous revelations, Xiaomi will release its first vertically folded flagship in the first half of this year, named MIX Flip.

According to the latest revelations from blogger @DigitalGossipStation, the machine is currently planning a program change that eliminates the originally planned satellite communication feature, although the large battery and telephoto lens are retained.

It's also worth noting that removing satellite communication would also lower some of the selling price accordingly, with rumors suggesting it could be around $500 lower.

This is actually good for the vast majority of users who won't be using the feature, there's no need to pay more for a feature you won't be able to use, and there could be a separate satellite communication version.

Elsewhere, the MIX Flip will also feature a domestically produced screen, along with Zero Sense Crease technology to make the screen flatter at the crease.

Designed with a dual-screen solution, there is a secondary screen for displaying notifications, weather, and other information after folding, so you don't need to flip the cover to view it every time.

Previously exposed design drawings show that the secondary screen on the back of the Xiaomi MIX Flip will have a larger size, which can display more effective information and be more practical.

The top of the secondary screen is equipped with a Leica imaging system, the whole is arranged in a horizontal manner, which is likely to refresh the image peak of the vertical small fold.
