Samsung Galaxy S25 drops Exynos across the board

According to media reports, due to the Exynos effectiveness always have a gap with Qualcomm, Samsung will continue to use dual-processor strategy, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will still be on the S25 series.

Previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series will be fully equipped with self-developed Exynos processors.

For this reason Samsung also set up a special team to optimize Exynos, by using Samsung's second-generation 3nm process technology to build, and hope to show the results through the new S25 machine.

However, it has recently been rumored that Samsung will maintain its current dual-processor strategy as Exynos is not perfect enough to completely replace Qualcomm Snapdragon.

Depending on the market the Exynos 2500 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processors will be available, with the top-end S25 Ultra likely to be offered only in a Qualcomm processor version.

Data shows that in the first three quarters of 2023, Samsung bought a total of nearly 9 trillion won of chips from Qualcomm, MediaTek and others, which is a 10.4 percent increase over the same period in 2022.

Analysis suggests that due to performance issues, Samsung excluded the self-developed "Exynos" in the core product, thus increasing its cost burden.
