OPPO Reno 9 series specifications, box pictures leaked before launch

OPPO's upcoming Reno series has been a hot topic for the past few weeks thanks to a series of leaks. First, we heard about its charging details and learned about its chipset a few days ago. And now, a new leak reveals the retail box for the OPPO Reno 9 series and its key specs ahead of its official announcement.

The news comes from reliable leaker @DigitalGossipStation on Weibo, and it suggests that the OPPO Reno 9 series will be powered by MediaTek's Tiangui 8000 and Snapdragon 778G SoCs. In addition to that, the brand may carry - and may be the first to do so - the newly launched Universal Fast Charging Specification (UFCS), which specification was launched on September 29, 2022 by the China Communications Standards Association.

Note: For those unaware, the Universal Fast Charging Specification was created to facilitate the development of fast charging technology and is the only universal standard that will be valid industry-wide. As such, it will help brands adopt a unified fast charging standard, improve third-party certification, and track the international fast charging standardization process.

The leaked box for the OPPO Reno 9 series is white with the Reno branding in the top left corner and a giant "9" embedded in the bottom right corner of the box, but the design of the phone is not revealed.

In terms of specifications, sources say that the Reno 9 will be powered by a Qualcomm SM7325 processor (Snapdragon 778G), while a MediaTek 6895 chip (Tiangui 8000) will run on the Reno 9 Pro. Finally, the Reno 9 will come with a 64-megapixel sensor, while the Reno 9 Pro could be fitted with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor.

Previous leaks suggest that the Reno 9 series will come with a 5000mAh battery and an AMOLED panel.
