Microsoft releases Windows 10 KB5013942 patch: fixes a lot of bugs

The KB5013942 cumulative update for Windows 10 systems was released during this month's Patch Tuesday event.

The update doesn't contain any notable changes, though Microsoft says it fixes an issue that caused Internet Explorer to stop working when copying and pasting text.

A critical bug that caused some users to experience a black screen when logging in and out has been fixed. Another bug that caused Microsoft OneDrive files to lose focus after you renamed them and pressed enter has been patched in this release.

It is worth noting that after a reminder in February this year, Microsoft announced that the Windows 10 20H2 feature update was officially discontinued from support. The update, also known as October 2020, was officially released in September 2020 and is the most stable of the many Windwos 10 versions. Discontinuing support means that devices running this version of Windows 10 will no longer receive any security updates.
