Leica Camera CEO reviews Xiaomi 14 Ultra: the next generation of top Summilux lenses

Xiaomi's new imaging flagship, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, has been slated for release on February 22nd, and official previews of the new device have already started.

Today, Xiaomi released the CEO of Leica Camera's comments on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, stating that "this imaging system is the latest work we have jointly created, bringing a new generation of top Summilux lenses in the field of mobile imaging optics".

Gathering the most elite Xiaomi Leica mobile optics team, the "Xiaomi x Leica Optics Institute" will continue to create era-leading mobile imaging optics.

It is understood that in the Leica lens products, Summilux stands for a larger F1.4 aperture, is Leica's best-selling lens, shooting with a shallower depth of field, but also more suitable for portraits, by the millet 14 series for the first time.

As a flagship product, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone will be equipped with Leica Summilux flagship dual-telephoto, which is claimed to "open up the era of cell phones with large aperture dual-telephoto".

These include a 75mm upright telephoto with 3.2x optical zoom and a 120mm periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom.

The main camera will be equipped with a second-generation one-inch image sensor - Sony Light Metaphor LYT-900, with 50 megapixels, 1/0.98-inch large base, and a single pixel size of 1.6μm.
