iPhone 15 leaked: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus models upgrade Dynamic Island but miss the high brush

Apple's flagship iPhone lineup for 2023, the iPhone 15, is expected to feature a pill-shaped Dynamic Island display throughout the lineup. Just after the launch of Apple's iPhone 14 2022 flagship series, rumors about next year's iPhone 15 have begun to leak. It appears that the original iPhone 15 will feature a Dynamic Island display next year; however, it's unlikely the headquartered tech company will put a high-refresh-rate ProMotion display on the cheaper Standard lineup.

Rumors have begun to circulate that the next generation of the iPhone, the iPhone 15, is expected to launch in 2023. The news indicates that the iPhone 15 will feature a smart island design, just like the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max max. If the news is true, the iPhone 15 will finally end the notch design that was introduced with the iPhone X five years ago.

The grapevine came from ROSS YOUNG (@DSCCROSS), who proposed this new advancement. ROSS YOUNG also tweeted that the iPhone 15 is still unlikely to get a 120Hz LTPO ProMotion panel. This means that Apple will keep the 60Hz screen in the standard iPhone lineup for another year, and offer high refresh to the "Pro" model. According to ROSS YOUNG, this feature decision is largely dependent on supply chain constraints, while ROSS YOUNG claims the supply line is still unable to facilitate higher demand for the screen.

Apple sources its LTPO panels from Samsung and LG, while the standard 60Hz display is provided by BOE. BOE wasn't ready for LTPO panels at the time of the iPhone 15 launch, so Apple is likely to stick with the standard 60Hz panel on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
