iPad Pro 2024 OLED panel rumored to be in production

The OLED panels needed for Apple's iPad Pro 2024 reportedly entered production this week, with shipments beginning in April.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the iPad Pro 2024 will debut in April at the earliest, with two suppliers, LG Display and Samsung, with LG Display supplying 13-inch OLED panels and Samsung supplying 11-inch OLED panels.

Compared with the previous iPad Pro, this year's iPad Pro 2024 screen has a huge change, which is Apple's first ever OLED tablet, meaning that the mini-LED iPad Pro era is over.

It is understood that the iPad Pro 2024 will use the new tandem stacked OLED technology, which has two emissive layers, compared with a single-layer OLED panel, the screen brightness of the dual-layer structured panel can be expanded by 2 times, the service life of the panel can be extended by 4 times, and at the same time, it can save about 30% of power consumption.

Additionally, the OLED panel used in the iPad Pro 2024 can completely turn off individual pixels, creating a pitch-black effect in the tiniest of places, something mini-LEDs can't do at the pixel level.
