Boe and Huawei jointly develop three folds: the world’s first

At the BOE Global Innovation Partner Conference-2024 held today, BOE Chairman Chen Yanshun mentioned Huawei's triple-folding screen, saying that BOE and Huawei have a very in-depth cooperation in the field of folding screens, and that we are working with Huawei on joint research and development, which is unprecedentedly tightly linked together.

Chen Yanshun also revealed, I have long known that it is called the extraordinary master, but because we have a clear confidentiality agreement with the customer, so whether BOE is involved, how to participate, I think after the product comes out we will give you one by one to answer.

Huawei's first tri-folding screen is reportedly named Mate XT Extraordinary Master, and this new product adopts a unique inner-folding + outer-folding + dual-hinge design.

The screen size when fully unfolded can reach about 10 inches, providing a tablet-like experience.

Despite the presence of two creases, according to the exposed pictures and information, the thickness of the body of this phone in the folded state is quite well controlled, and does not look particularly bulky.
