Apple rolls out watchOS 8.7.1 firmware update

In addition to iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1 and macOS Monterey 12.5.1, Apple is also releasing watchOS 8.7.1 today.

This update fixes a bug in the Apple Watch Series 3 that caused the Apple Watch Series 3 to restart abnormally.

The Apple Watch Series 3 no longer supports upgrades to watchOS 9, which launched in September, so it will only stay at watchOS 8.x in the future.
