AMD’s first 4nm Zen 4 Sharp Dragon APU processor has been unveiled! RDNA3 GPU is perfect

With the Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 processor natively integrated GPU, at least in the desktop market, future APUs are likely to be quiet for a while. On mobile, however, the opposite is true.

In fact, according to AMD's roadmap, Zen 4 and Zen 5 apUs have specific plans for notebook platforms, codename Pheonix Point and Strix Point respectively, with Pheonix Point being specifically 4nm.

After checking, a suspected AMD Zen4 APU appears on the MilkyWay@Home page. OPN part Number 100-000000709-23_N corresponds to Family 25 Model 112 Stepping 0, which has never been seen before.

Other aspects identify the 8-core 16-thread configuration.

Of course, it should be pointed out that Zen 4's corresponding notebook APUS are not only Pheonix Point, but also Dragon Range. The difference between the two is that the former is for the light book, while the latter is for the game book. Obviously, their performance, frequency, core configuration, TDP and so on will be significantly different in the future.

Other notable features of the Zen4 APU include the integration of the RDNA3 GPU and the AIE unit, which is an AI acceleration module.

At least as far as gpus are concerned, the Zen4 APU is more interesting, since the Desktop Ryzen 7000 has a miserable 2CU unit and is RDNA2.
