AMD Zen5 Ryzen 9000 leaked in images with over 40% single-core boost!

AMD's Zen5-architecture Ryzen 9000 series of desktop processors (codenamed Granite Ridge) is getting closer and closer, and now for the first time we can see the real thing, which of course looks exactly the same as the existing Ryzen 8000 series, and is still an "octopus".

Of course, it is still an engineering sample, the surface can be seen on the PON number 100-000001290-11, packaged in Malaysia.

The interface is still theoretically AM5, but an upgraded version of AM5+ has recently popped up, and I don't know if it will be a direct replacement this time.

As for the specifications, it is said to be 8 cores and 16 threads, the frequency is not known (samples of the know is meaningless), thermal design power consumption of 105W, and the highest will be 16 cores and 32 threads, thermal design power consumption will be increased to 170W.

Interestingly, this OPN number appeared in the Distributed Computing Project einstein@home back in June of last year, and it does show 16 logical cores that continue to integrate a simple GPU.

Kepler_L2, a reliable source of information, has previously said that the Zen5 architecture can deliver single-core performance improvements of more than 40 percent over Zen4 in SPEC benchmarks.
