CDPR: The Witcher 4 will be in pre-production

During CDPR's FISCAL q1 2022 earnings call, CEO Adam Kicinski said the Witcher 4 will be in pre-production, according to media reports.

"We recently concluded the Witcher 4 research phase, which means that further development spending will be reflected in our financials from now on," he said.

The news indicates that the development of a new Witcher game has officially begun. At the very least, the folder has been built.

On March 22, 2022, CDPR officially announced that a new Witcher title is in development that will feature Unreal Engine 5, in collaboration with Epic Game developers.
