iPhone 16 will be the first AI iPhone: Siri is fully evolved

AI will reportedly be a key trend in the consumer electronics industry in 2024.

According to the latest post by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Tianfeng International Securities, generative AI (AIGI) is bursting into the scene in 2023, and the iPhone 16 will launch with related innovative features. In other words, iPhone 16 will be the first AI iPhone.

It is reported that Apple reorganized the Siri team in the third quarter of this year, with the goal of integrating AIGC functions and LLM (Large Language Model).

On cell phones, voice input will be the key interface for AI, AIGC, and LLM (Large Language Model), so strengthening Siri's software function is the key to promoting AI features.

Ming-Chi Kuo's latest survey shows that all iPhone 16 models will have significantly upgraded microphone specifications, with better signal-to-noise ratios in addition to better waterproofing, as a way to enhance the Siri experience.

It is reported that Ruixing Technology and Gore are the microphone suppliers for iPhone 16. The microphone unit price per iPhone 16 will be at least about 100%-150% higher than iPhone 15.

Ming-Chi Kuo also judged that with AI becoming a key trend, in addition to the iPhone 16, high-end Android phones are also likely to focus on upgrading the microphone.
