Chrome mimics Edge’s sidebar search feature

Recently, Google has added a sidebar search feature similar to Edge in the development version of Chrome, which allows highlighting any text in a webpage to find more information about it on the web without opening a new tab. . The search results from this feature will be displayed in a window on the right side of the web page.

In actual operation, CHrome's sidebar search function is exactly the same as Edge's, and even the operation logic is almost the same, as long as the user selects the text, and then selects "Search on Google" in the right-click menu.

However, this function is not enabled by default. If you want to use it, you need to enter "Chrome://flags" in Chrome Canary, find the Search web in side panel item, and restart after startup.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Chrome has learned the functions of Edge. Earlier, Chrome also completed the optimized update of the download function according to the UI design of Edge.
