End of a generation of memories! IE officially retired today

Internet Explorer officially retired from history during the June 2022 Patch Tuesday event.

Microsoft said existing Internet Explorer browsers will no longer receive any bugs or bug fixes, and users will be encouraged to switch to Microsoft Edge.

End of a generation of memories! Internet Explorer is officially out of the picture today

There was a time when Internet Explorer was the no. 1 browser in the world. However, the development of third-party browsers at a very fast pace, richer extension applications and a smooth surfing experience have lost a large number of IE users.

Microsoft is now fully committed to chromium-based Microsoft Edge and has a dedicated Internet Explorer mode that allows users to load certain websites.

"If you are a consumer using Internet Explorer at home, we recommend that you transition to Microsoft Edge by June 15, 2022 to start enjoying a faster, safer and more modern browsing experience," Microsoft said in a previous announcement.
