Honor Magic V unboxing

January 10, glory released its first folding screen phone - glory Magic V, become the first equipped with a new generation of Snapdragon 8 mobile platform folding screen phone, called "folding flagship, exhibition leap thousands of".

Glory Magic V is the industry's slimmest horizontal internal folding machine, folding state body thickness of 14.3mm, the screen unfolded state left and right body thickness of 6.7mm (excluding the thickness of the screen bezel), weighing 288g (vegetal leather rear shell) or 293g (glass rear shell).

The machine adopts the ultra-thin suspended water drop hinge design developed by Honor, which eliminates the large gap generated by folding and significantly reduces the thickness compared to the traditional ball-and-stick hinge; and through a precise process to make the screen as if suspended above the hinge, the high-precision manufacturing process better ensures the long life of the screen after multiple openings and closings as well as light creases.

The inner screen of Honor Magic V has a wide 7.9-inch field of view, with an aspect ratio of 10.3:9, a resolution of 2272x1984, and a pixel density of 381ppi, which can easily cope with multitasking scenarios.

Its inner screen supports a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz, a global maximum brightness of 800nit, and a peak maximum brightness of 1000nit, so it can be viewed clearly anytime and anywhere without fear of outdoor sunlight.

At the same time, the inner screen also provides 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10bit color, HDR10+, 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and other display technology support, and the Honor Magic V is the industry's first folding screen phone to get IMAX Enhanced certification, bringing users the ultimate display effect.

The exterior of the Honor Magic V folding screen phone is equipped with a 6.45-inch OLED screen with a screen ratio of 21.3:9 and a resolution of 2560 x 1080, with a pixel density of 431ppi and a screen-to-body ratio of 90%, with classic ratio flagship phone specifications.

To enhance the drop resistance of the outer screen, Honor Magic V also uses a curved nano-microcrystalline glass process. The process not only brings a thinner (0.1mm thinner than ordinary screen thickness), lighter (bringing 9% weight reduction) appearance experience, its modulus is also far more than ordinary Corning Gorilla Glass panel, compared to ordinary glass panel drop resistance performance significantly improved.

In terms of performance, Honor Magic V is equipped with a new generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform and a built-in 4750mAh high-capacity battery, while supporting 66W wired super fast charging, achieving greater range and faster charging.

In terms of imaging, the Honor Magic V uses the industry's first tri-body star ring camera design with family language, with three powerful cameras embedded in the tri-body star ring, including a 50MP wide-angle camera, 50MP super wide-angle camera and 50MP spectral enhancement camera.

Also, for user convenience, the Honor Magic V is equipped with a 42MP front-facing camera on both the internal and external screens to provide a comprehensive top-notch imaging experience.

In addition, Honor Magic V comes with Magic UI 6.0 system, which not only upgrades the AI experience, but also enables easy voice control, smart vision, smart screen recognition, smart search and other functions, and further upgrades the multi-screen collaboration, adding new AI functions such as extended mode, mirror mode and key and mouse sharing mode.
