The first 14 generation Of Core Intel “4nm EUV” process mass production in the second half of the year

The 13th generation Raptor Lake, which Intel will release later this year, is an improved version of the 12th generation core. It will also be made with Intel 7, but with 8 more efficient cores, a total of 24 cores and 32 threads, and will continue to be compatible with DDR5/DDR4 and LGA1700 platforms.

Next year will be the 14th generation of Core, code-named Meteor Lake. The architecture of this generation is greatly improved. For the first time, it adopts a non-single chip design, flexibly integrates multiple small chip modules, including the next-generation hybrid architecture CPU, tGPU core display engine, AI acceleration unit, and very low power consumption.

14 generation core will upgrade the process, the first Intel 4 process, and is the first generation of Intel EUV process, equivalent to the 4nm EUV process of friends, according to Intel recently published data, Intel 4 process HP high-performance library density can be up to 1.6 transistors /mm2, twice the current Intel 7 process, This is higher than TSMC's 5nm process of 130 million transistors per mm2 and close to TSMC's 3nm process of 208 million transistors per mm2.

Compared with The Intel 7 process, the frequency of the 4nm EUV process increases by 21.5% and the power consumption decreases by 40% at the same power consumption.

In terms of specs, Intel's 4nm EUV process is a mess, capable of hitting 6GHz frequencies and even beating apple's M2 in energy efficiency.

As for the time of mass production, although the 14th generation Core will be released next year, Intel's 4nm EUV process will be mass-produced in the second half of this year. The latest news says that the process is going well and preparations are being made for mass production.
