Steve Jobs’ Birkenstocks sandals sold for $218,750

A few days after going on sale, the Birkenstocks sandals that were said to have been worn on Steve Jobs' feet sold at auction for $218,750. The shoes were originally expected to sell for up to $80,000, but they shattered all expectations. This was due in large part to the fact that the sandals were auctioned with elements of NFT, causing the price to skyrocket.

These brown suede sandals are made by Birkenstock, that's for sure. According to the auction house, Steve Jobs wore this sandal for a long time between the 70s and 80s. However, the complete provenance of the main items in the auction is obscure.

According to Julien's Auctions, Jobs gave the sandals to his house manager, Mark Schiff. However, Julien's Auctions did not confirm that it was Sheff who took out this particular lot.

"The sandals were part of his simple side ...... they were his uniform," Jobs' daughter Crisann Brennan said of the Birkenstocks Jobs wore in a 2018 interview. " The nice thing about uniforms is that you don't have to worry about what to wear in the morning."

For avid fans of Steve Jobs, this is truly a collectible keepsake.
