Statcounter: Windows 11 market share drops to 26.72 percent

According to the newly released Statcounter report by the statistical agency, March 2024 shows a decline in the market share of Windows 11.

After reaching its highest point in January 2024, Windows 11 saw a significant decline in February, falling from 28.18% to 26.72% (-1.46%).

Meanwhile, Windows 10 regained some of its lost users, increasing its market share by 1.81 percentage points.

Windows 10 is coming to the end of support in October 2025, so hopefully Microsoft will accelerate the rollout of Windows 11 to more eligible devices.

Despite their "unsupported" status, Windows 7, 8.1 and 8 still have significant market share, at 3.04%, 0.44% and 0.29% respectively.

Windows 7 has a market share of 3.04%, Windows 8.1 0.44% and Windows 8 0.29%.

Even the outdated Windows XP still has a certain number of users with a market share of 0.39%.
