Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ appear on 3C certification website

After launching the Samsung Galaxy S22 series earlier this year, the South Korean tech giant is said to be working on the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2023. The series may include the Samsung Galaxy S23, Samsung Galaxy S23+ and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Ultra recently appeared in the domestic 3C certification, revealing the charging details of the next-generation Samsung high-end flagship. Now, other models are listed on the same certification website.

The 3C listing shows the Samsung Galaxy S23 model number is SM-S9110, while the Galaxy S23+ model number is SM-S9160. The listing reveals that the phone will support 25W fast charging, similar to the Galaxy S22 series.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series models have now all appeared on the Chinese 3C website. The Galaxy S23 Ultra spotted on the site earlier revealed that it will have the same 25W charging support.

Aside from the charging speed, the 3C certification doesn't reveal much else about the flagship, including battery capacity. But we believe they will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset expected to debut later this year. The SoC is said to be a 4nm chipset and will include 1x Cortex-X3, 2x Cortex-A720, 2x Cortex-A710 and 3x Cortex-A510. Like the Galaxy S22 series, the S23 phones are also likely to be powered by Qualcomm chipsets in India.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to be equipped with a large 5000mAh battery. The phone is also expected to feature a 200MP main camera on the back, a first for a Samsung smartphone, and will feature a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 10MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom. It is said to come with a 40MP front-facing camera that supports autofocus.
