Microsoft pushes Win11 KB5019509 update: finally waiting for the file manager tab

Today, Microsoft pushed out the KB5019509 update for Win11 version 22H2 Release Preview, adding some new features early to the existing 22H2 stable version.

In the KB5019509 update, Win11 finally adds the tabbed file explorer that users have been waiting for.

The new version of File Explorer allows users to create multiple pages within a window just like using a browser, with different pages existing as tabs at the top of the window, which significantly improves the efficiency and ease of window management for users when working with files.

The new file manager also allows users to view their colleagues' actions on shared files after logging into OenDrive, improving the ease of multi-user collaboration.

In addition to the long-awaited file manager update, the new push also adds a taskbar overflow menu and the ability for users to share files to other devices nearby.

Of course, if not added to the Release preview group, these updates won't take long to wait, and not surprisingly, they will officially meet with users in late October.
