Microsoft PC Manager accused of slowing down PC computers

In terms of functions, Microsoft PC Manager can realize such functions as one-click system acceleration, cleaning cache and disk space, blocking pop-up ads, virus checking and so on.

However, Neowin reported that Microsoft PC Manager's Deep Cleanup feature, which looks for files and caches that are no longer needed and deletes them to free up space on the computer, can slow down the computer.

However, it backfires, as Deep Cleanup removes all the files from the Prefetch folder, which the computer needs to save information about the applications the user is running, so that the next time it starts up, it will be faster.

After deleting the folder, you will not be able to do a fast startup, which means that you have to choose between storage space and fast startup.

It is recommended that when using similar software, if there is no special need, Prefetch folder as much as possible to avoid cleaning up, in order to ensure the normal operation of the computer.
