Laptops Q3 sold 5.96 million units in China Game book surged 18.6%

Research firm Strategy Analytics has released a report on Q3 global notebook computers, global notebook computer shipments in the third quarter fell 15% year-on-year, with shipments of only 56.1 million units.

According to IDC data, the Chinese consumer notebook market performed well in the past third quarter, with sales reaching 5.96 million units, up 12.5 percent year-over-year.

Of these, 2.43 million gaming notebooks were sold, up 18.6% year-over-year, while 3.42 million thin and light notebooks were sold, up 6.8% year-over-year.

In terms of channels, the e-commerce channel also accounted for more than 60% of the consumer notebook market in the third quarter.

According to the analysis, the impact of the epidemic around the country, the normalization of the home office and the demand for online classes, notebooks as an important learning and production tool, in many electronic products to buck the trend, and gradually show its unique charm in the PC consumer market.

Consumers are also buying notebook products on demand. High-performance notebooks with high-end discrete graphics cards are more popular with student groups, meeting the needs of online classes while also satisfying after-school entertainment and video needs.
