IOS 16 will enhance the lock screen experience: Wallpapers will have widget-like features

In the latest issue of Our Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reveals that Apple is planning a number of changes to the lock screen interface in iOS 16, including the introduction of a new wallpaper with widget-like capabilities. "Apple is planning major improvements to the lock screen, including wallpapers with widget-like features," the newsletter reads. In addition, I've been told that iOS 16 will support an always-on lock screen in the future, which Apple originally planned for last year's iPhone 13.

In addition to iOS 16, Gurman noted that iPadOS 16 is expected to bring "significant changes in Windows and multitasking." Apple will have to upgrade iPadOS to enhance multitasking, which will close the gap between the iPad and the computer.

Mark Gurman also shared details about watchOS 9, showing that the update will bring significant changes to wearables and affect the way we use the accessory on a daily basis. In addition, a new watch face and low-power mode will also be part of the launch. MacOS 13 will redesign system preferences to align them with iOS's Settings app. We've heard before that Apple is looking to streamline its platform in terms of visual effects.
