Dell to axe mobile computer connectivity soon

Today, Dell made an official announcement, announcing the termination of Dell Mobile Connect and Alienware Mobile Connect apps by November 30th of this year and that they will no longer be available for download.

Dell Mobile Connect and Alienware Mobile Connect are applications developed by Dell to interconnect cell phones with computers via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The announcement of the cessation of services of the two applications undoubtedly indicates that Dell will not provide the interconnection of computers and cell phones.

However, Intel acquired Mobile Connect developer Screenovate as early as 2021, and demonstrated the interaction between PC and Android and iOS at CES 2022 earlier this year, announcing the launch at Intel EVO at the end of the year.

This may mean that Mobile Connect is not going away with Dell's abandonment.
