Apple’s mysterious square box “card” has been revealed for the first time to run iOS

A month ago, Apple sparked discussion with the FCC's approval of an iOS "network adapter" code-named A2657.

Users can finally get a look at the mysterious new product today, as photos of the device appear in Taiwan's NCC registry database.

The A2657 is a compact black box about 4 inches long and about an inch wide and high.

The device has a USB-C port and an Ethernet port on one end, and a combination of a button and an Ethernet port on the other end, matching previous FCC registration parameters.

It should be noted, however, that along with the Apple Logo, there are two QR codes on the top of the device and a line reading "for development Only" in fine print, which may indicate that the device will not go to market.

According to the known information, A2657 has a Lightning port version with only 1GB of ram in addition to this USB-C port version.

In addition, the firmware version is "19F47", which is an early internal version of iOS 15.5.
