Apple’s iPhone 13 series has been number one in China for six consecutive weeks

The most popular smartphone in China is still Apple.

According to the latest data from Counterpoint Research, the iPhone 13 has been the no. 1 seller in China for six consecutive weeks.

The report notes that Apple is the largest smartphone maker in China based on iPhone sales in October 2021. After briefly losing the top spot, Apple regained the lead in early December.

According to Counterpoint Research, the new iPhone 13 has already led the way to success. Its relatively low starting price at launch in China helped boost sales, along with new cameras and 5G capabilities, among other factors.

The iPhone 13 models accounted for 51% of iPhone sales, the iPhone 13 Pro Max for 23%, and the iPhone 13 Pro for 21%, according to the report. The iPhone 13 Mini accounted for 5%.

Of course, the current success of the iPhone 13 "also builds on the strong performance of the iPhone 12," which "contributes to Apple's overall sales growth."
