Apple officially launches iPadOS 16 firmware: Check out what’s updated in iPadOS 16 firmware

In addition to iOS 16.1, Apple is finally making the iPadOS 16 system update available to all users today. iPadOS 16, which was first announced at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in June, is Apple's next-generation iPad operating system and is available today in most countries around the world.

iPadOS 16 New Features

One of the core features of iPadOS 16 is the addition of "front-screen scheduling", which provides a new multi-tasking experience for iPad. With multiple overlapping windows and full external display support, it automatically organizes apps and windows to make switching between tasks quick and easy, bringing a whole new way to multi-task.

Other major new features in iPadOS 16 include: iCloud shared gallery, better daily messaging, enhanced search for email, Safari with pass key, new display modes, Weather App on iPad, redesigned Game Center dashboard for games, live text in videos, newly conceived Family App, easy management of children's accounts for family sharing, desktop computer-level apps, and other new features.

How to download and update iPadOS 16

iPadOS 16 is available for iPad (5th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), and all iPad Pro models.

These models can be downloaded and installed by going to Settings > General > Software Update and clicking "Update Now" over a Wi-Fi network.
