Apple Music student subscription prices in some regions have been raised to $1.99 from $1.49

Apple announced an increase in subscription fees for Apple Music for students in some countries and regions. In an email sent to Twitter user "Nikhil," Apple told them that starting June 20, the subscription fee would increase from $1.49 to $1.99.

While apple did not inform which countries and regions will be affected by price increases, but it seems that not all students will be affected by this change. According to MacRumors, student users in Australia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, New Zealand, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and South Africa will be affected by the price hike, and many more may be affected.

It's not clear exactly why subscription fees are rising, but there could be a number of reasons, including currency challenges, increased licensing costs, or simply profit.
