Apple iPhone to feature plastic prisms: already tested by customers

According to media reports, Lin Enping, chairman of Dali Opto, recently revealed important progress about a plastic prism that has successfully passed the testing stage of a well-known customer, yet there is still some uncertainty as to whether it will eventually be applied to products.

Industry experts have speculated that the customer mentioned by Lin Enping is most likely the tech giant Apple. Looking back at the iPhone 15 series released last year, its biggest highlight is undoubtedly the Pro flagship model for the first time equipped with a periscope lens, and the exclusive supplier of this innovative technology is none other than Dali Light.

It is worth mentioning that prisms, as a key component of the periscope lens, carry two precision glass prisms for each lens, and the supply of these prisms is handled by Crystal Opto. The successful testing of plastic prism technology has undoubtedly provided more possibilities for upgrading the imaging system of Apple's new generation of iPhones.

In addition, the recent exposure of high-definition renderings of iPhone 16 has triggered heated discussions among consumers. As can be seen from the renderings, the new iPhone has been fine-tuned in its exterior design, and although it still adopts a dual camera design, the arrangement of the cameras has been changed to a vertical row, as if taking us back to the classic era of the iPhone X.

What's even more exciting is that the iPhone 16 series will have a fully integrated Action button, an innovative design that allows users to customize the display of up to nine different functions. Originally the location of the US-exclusive mmWave 5G antenna, the button has been cleverly designed to not only retain its original functionality, but also add a more interactive experience. The button has a mechanical design and a capacitive surface that supports zoom gestures, providing users with a more convenient and personalized way to operate the device.
