Apple car concept renderings exposed drawings have been given to Japanese suppliers

Beijing, January 10, according to foreign media reports, Apple found Japanese car air conditioning company Sanden (Sanden) for help two years ago, and provided the drawings of electric cars to Sanden.

Sources close to the matter said that in January 2020, a man claiming to be Apple's parts manager told Japanese auto supplier Sanden that Apple wanted to produce electric cars and needed Sanden's help in high-performance components. He then unhurriedly showed schematics for an electric car and air conditioning components.

Apple and SANDEN went on to discuss specific component requirements. But as the New Coronavirus pandemic raged, Sanpower's cash flow got worse. in June 2020, the company entered into out-of-court negotiations with creditors over a debt settlement, and the prospects of joining Apple's car program became bleak.

While the report provided no further details about the negotiations between the two companies, it further confirmed Apple's long-rumored electric car ambitions.

In November 2021, prominent journalist Mark Gurman reported that Apple was accelerating the development of an electric car, with the goal of developing one with full self-driving capabilities. Gurman said Apple was aiming for a 2025 release, but the project has reportedly encountered so many setbacks over the past few years that the timing of the launch is uncertain.
