Apple AirDrop send will launch a new feature: open to all people can only open 10 minutes

Apple has recently released iOS 16.1.1, in which AirDrop will no longer be available to all users by default.

Now, Apple has added a new feature to AirDrop that changes the original "Everyone" option to "Open to everyone for 10 minutes" and automatically turns the setting back to "Only" after that time. After that time, the system will automatically turn the setting back to "Contacts Only".

For users, this makes it easier to receive overhead delivery of files while also addressing the possibility of receiving undesirable images that could be received by opening the feature for a long time.

In fact, according to Apple officials, the reason for the restriction on overhead delivery is that the feature has been used as a prank tool by some users since its introduction, sending ill-timed photos or other images to other users.

In addition to adding a time limit to the "All" option, Apple will be introducing more new drop shipping settings in the coming year to avoid unnecessary file sharing as much as possible.

In addition, the feature will be rolled out to regions outside of the country in a subsequent update.
