AMD officially announces Zen 5:3 nm process! The new architecture overturns Zen 4

At the 2022 Financial Analyst Conference, AMD finally announced its new CPU roadmap, officially confirming the Zen 5 family.

As planned, the Zen 4 architecture will include Zen 4, Zen 4 V-Cache (3D cache version) and Zen 4c (cloud load optimization), and both Zen 4 and Zen 4 V-Cache are currently ready.

Similar to the current Zen 3 late launch 6nm product (Raider 6000 APU), Zen 4 will also have a 4nm iteration in the future.

As for Zen 5, it is also divided into Zen 5, Zen 5 V-Cache and Zen 5c, with 4nm at the beginning and 3nm at the end. from the time rhythm, Zen 5 will be updated online in 2024.

Regarding the details of Zen 5, AMD introduced it with a new micro-architecture core, which has a better energy efficiency performance with performance amplification for all the full load scenarios. Details, this time redesigned front-end pipeline and launch width, but also further integrated support for AI, machine learning (expected to be the instruction set level).

It is worth mentioning that, according to previous statements, the Zen 4c corresponding processor will be EPYC Bergamo (Italian port Bergamo), shipping in the first half of 2023, with a maximum of 128 cores and a performance increase of over 25%.
