20/5000 AMD Zen4 architecture APU set performance explosion

According to AMD's product roadmap, zen4-based APUS include the Pheonix Point and Dragon Range, both for notebook platforms. The former is a light book, and the latter is a game book, which is expected to debut as soon as early 2023 (CES?

Recently, whistleblower RedGamingTech revealed the Zen4 APU.

The flagship model of the Dragon Range family is expected to be Ryzen 9 7980HX with 16 cores and 32 threads, followed by 12-core Ryzen 9 7900HX, 8-core Ryzen 7 7800HX, and 6-core Ryzen 5 7600HX with a maximum frequency of 4.8~5GHz+. However, the GPU aspect is a little stingy, may be limited by the package size, only 2CU at most. This is not hard to understand, as the corresponding game book is bound to be a unique product.

After the sacrifice of Pheonix APU on CPU, the operating space of THE GPU is increased, and the maximum operating space can be up to 12CU cells. Related models are expected to include Ryzen 9 7980HS, Ryzen 9 7900HS, Ryzen 7 7800HS, Ryzen 5 7600HS, etc. Except for ryryosaur 5, they all have 8 cores.

Pheonix family of display units in addition to larger scale, frequency can be up to 3GHz, so performance is also very impressive, Ryzen 9 7980HS integrated 1536 stream processor, single floating point accuracy of 9.2T, thermal design power consumption of 60~70W, the goal is to match the performance of the RTX 3060 mobile version.

The Zen4 APU also supports DDR, LPDDR5, and LPDDR5X memory at a maximum frequency of 8400MHz.
