Steam version of “Dead Space” without Origin client

There are reports that the Dead Space remake on the Steam platform is a Steam native application, without the need to launch the EA Origin client.

If anyone predicts that all future EA games on the Steam platform will be free of this dogpile, it is clearly too optimistic. The subsequent release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor requires Origin to be installed and running in the background, and EA recently announced that the new PC client has completed beta testing and will be officially launched soon, with existing Origin users receiving an invitation to migrate existing game archives and runtime files to the new client intact.

In addition, Battlefield 2042 players are finally waiting for the first service-oriented season event, "The Liquidator:"

The Liquidator event is infantry-only and excludes all vehicles. Players will experience compact infantry maps and fierce skirmishers during the two-week event (October 11-25), and will be rewarded for their efforts.

This event adds a new "Tactical Conquest" mode to the game, where players engage enemy squads and capture and hold three flags to quickly deplete their opponent's troop levels. The first week is an 8v8 tournament, and the second week is 16v16, with compact versions of traditional maps from Arica Harbor, Caspian Border, and Abandoned Lands being used for the liquidation event.

Finally, Vale announced that customers interested in purchasing Steam Deck do not need to reserve a queue and can now place an order for full payment with a delivery lead time of one to two weeks (depending on the shipping address).

The long-awaited Deck dock is also available for order, with a delivery lead time similar to that of the Deck handheld. The dock is similar to similar Nintendo products and charges the handheld and connects it to the big screen. The dock offers a DP1.4 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, three USB-A 3.1 ports, and a wired network port, and comes packaged with the same USB-C power supply as the Deck handheld, with a 1.5-meter cable.
