But due to Activision Blizzard's business strategy, weak performance of the host and a series of other reasons, "Call of Duty" has been a long time without a synchronized work landing on any system platform.

Today, Microsoft Xbox division CEO Phil Spencer said in social media, "After the merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, Microsoft has reached a 10-year commitment to bring "Call of Duty" to the Nintendo platform. Microsoft is committed to helping bring more games to more people - no matter which platform they choose to play on."

Spencer followed that up with a second statement making the same commitment to PC gamers.

For the Switch or future Ren console may have performance problems, Spencer said, "We will do specific work to make the game run well on Nintendo Switch and their chips to fully support their platform, and we will do the same when we launch the game on PS5."

It is worth mentioning that the last Call of Duty to land on any console is the Call of Duty: Ghosts, which was released in 2013 and landed on the WiiU console, almost 10 years ago.
