Motorola Razr 3 will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip support UWB technology

Media outlet xda-developers is reporting that the Razr 3, which is being developed internally by Motorola, will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, ship with Android 12, support UWB technology and more. The adoption of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is significant, as it's the first time Motorola has used its flagship chipset in a Razr foldable phone.

With the flagship chipset

In the first generation of foldable Razr, Motorola used Snapdragon 710, and in the subsequent Razr 5G, Motorola used Snapdragon 765G. So the upcoming Razr 3 will be Motorola's first foldable phone equipped with a flagship chip.

UWB technology support

The Motorola Razr 3 may have a variant that supports ultra-wideband, which enables more accurate positioning and could even serve to help you do things like unlock your car. Companies like Xiaomi have announced plans to include UWB technology, and Xiaomi has shown how it can use the technology to control its smart home ecosystem. the GooglePixel 6 Pro also has support for it.

● Storage portfolio

Sources say the Motorola Razr 3 will come in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB storage combinations.

● Screen

It has NFC, a secondary display (specs unknown), and a center punch or bangs at the top of the main display, unlike the wide bangs on the Razr 5G. While xda-developers couldn't confirm the primary display, it found indications that it should be a 120Hz high refresh rate display, possibly a Full HD AMOLED panel. It looks like this will be a global launch device, at least in China, Europe and North America. Our sources couldn't provide us with any details on the camera at this point in time.
