Dell bans resellers from selling 7900-series GPU and other products in China

According to media reports, Dell has moved to ban AMD's Radeon and Instinct GPUs (including the RX 7900 XTX, 7900 XT, PRO W7900, and the upcoming MI300) from being sold in China.

From the information, Dell's sales advisory guide sees that products including Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Radeon PRO W7900 and the upcoming Instinct MI300 graphics cards are now banned from sale in China.

Additionally, Dell's own list of restricted products includes products with Instinct MI210, MI250, MI250X and MI300 series AI datacenter and HPC GPUs.

In fact, before AMD, a number of NVIDIA products, including the A100, H100, A800, H800, L40S, L40, A40, A30, K4, RTX A6000, RTX 6000 Ada, and RTX 4090 have been banned from being sold in the Chinese market.

According to the US, the 4800 TPP (Total Performance Processing) GPUs are banned from sale in certain countries.
