Tutorial: How to show or hide desktop icons in Windows 10 and 11

Windows 10 and 11 use desktop shortcuts or icons. If you don't use desktop icons, you can easily disable them and enjoy a clean desktop.

We should note that when you hide desktop icons, you don't delete them; they are still there, just hidden.

Right-click on your desktop.

Click "View" to expand these options.

Click on "Show desktop icons".

There is a small check mark next to the Show Desktop icon when disabled, and none when disabled.
