iOS 18 RC added the ability to pause video recording: the scene can be skipped

According to 9to5Mac, Apple's latest iOS 18 RC update has introduced a "pause video recording" feature for the iPhone's camera app.

Unlike the new camera controls available exclusively for the iPhone 16 series, the ability to pause video recording is also available for older iphones with the iOS 18 RC update.

After using this function, the user can make the jump of the scene in the same video file.

iPhone users who have upgraded to iOS 18 RC and are recording video will see a new pause button in the bottom left corner. Click this button to temporarily pause video recording and click again to resume recording.

When the video recording is paused, the user can see a "pause" promotion right below the recording time at the top of the user interface, at which point, the pause button becomes the record button, indicating that the recording will resume after being pressed.

This feature gives users a variety of creative options, and it allows users to easily create skip cuts in the same video without having to do complex editing at a later stage.

In addition, users can also switch lenses in the pause state and jump between different focal lengths to achieve a more dramatic zoom effect and create a unique visual experience.
