Amazing! Ryzen 5 7600X3D performance with 102MB cache

AMD has announced the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, the first six-core X3D product for the AM5 platform, still based on the Zen4 architecture, equipped with up to 102MB of Level 3 cache, including 6MB of L2 cache, 32MB of L3 cache, 64MB of 3D cache, and a thermal design power consumption of only 65W.

However, it is not available for public retail, but is limited to some retailers in Europe and the United States, including MicroCenter in the United States and MindFactory in Germany, and it is not clear whether it will be open subsequently.

The German website PCGH tested its gaming performance and the results were quite surprising, with 10 games combined, it actually countered the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X3D by 4%, as well as outperforming all the Zen5 offerings, with the best Ryzen 7 9700X being about 6% slower than it.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is still the king of gaming today, with the Ryzen 5 7600XD about 8% slower.

Against the competition, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D is only a little bit slower than the i5-13600K.

Of course, the baseline performance is not good, after all, with only six cores and 4.7GHz acceleration frequency, the measured performance is only comparable to the Ryzen 7 5800X, which is better than the i5-14400 and worse than the i5-12600K.

The 65W thermal design power consumption makes it have high energy efficiency, and the measured game power consumption is only 48W, which is tied for first with the Ryzen 5 7500F and far ahead.

In comparison, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D 57W, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D 66W, and the Ryzen 7 9700X 83W.

On this list, AMD Ryzen indeed occupies a nearly dominant position.
