The first batch of MIUI 13 internal test officially pushed

The first batch of the development version of MIUI 13 has been pushed out since December 29. According to some users who upgraded, the version number of the update is 21.12.27.

In terms of functionality, this update adds a new widget system, adding a richer and more personalized widget system based on MIUI 12.5, allowing users to "play with flowers" on the desktop.

According to Jin Fan, the person in charge of MIUI, MIUI 13 is based on the goal of "fast and stable" and focuses on basic optimizations, including focus computing, atomic memory, liquid storage and so on.

In terms of fluency and speed, the fluency of the head tripartite applications such as WeChat, QQ, Weibo, Headline, Jitterbug, Taobao, etc. has been significantly improved in all models. Compared with MIUI 12.5 enhanced version, the cumulative frame dropping time in MIUI 13 has decreased by 15% in flagship machines and 52% in entry machines.

Compared with MIUI 12.5 enhanced version, MIUI 13 on flagships dropped by 15% and on mid-range by 52%. 23 system applications also significantly improved the fluency of all models, with flagships dropping 23% and mid-range by 26%. After 36 months of continuous use, the read and write performance degradation is less than 5%.

In terms of privacy, MIUI 13 adds three major privacy protection features: face verification protection, privacy watermark, and wire fraud protection, among which face verification can systematically block images other than the face; privacy watermark can protect ID photos; and wire fraud protection is guarded at the full link level.
