Windows 11 Build 25227 supports password field clipboard history and new Widgets panel layout

Microsoft is releasing Windows 11 Preview Build 25227 to the development channel, and it brings some new changes for insiders.

These improvements start with Update Stack Orchestrator, which now provides better restart predictability for Windows updates. Specifically, these changes were introduced in the quality and feature update deadline calculations, specifying deadlines for automatic updates and restart group policy settings, and default values for feature updates.

In addition to this, Microsoft is also introducing visible changes in other parts of Windows 11, including in the Start menu, widgets, settings, and voice input. Of all these things, the new title position that Microsoft is testing is probably the most interesting. In the experimental Widgets panel UI, Microsoft shows off headers placed at the top and left side of the screen. While it's nice to see it in public, note that this is just a test, so we're not sure if it will see the light of day in the future.

Meanwhile, insiders who get Build 25227 will start seeing the Start menu with a badge on their user profile. According to Microsoft, the main purpose of this change is to inform users if there are important actions that should be handled on the system. Another notable change includes the introduction of clipboard history support on the password field, which was introduced earlier in Build 25206.

On the other hand, Microsoft's announcement in Build 25227 also mentions that Insiders across all channels will also get improvements to Microsoft Store version 22209. It's not huge, but games and movies will get pop-up preview trailers starting today, making it easier for users to get familiar with certain titles before clicking on them.
