Microsoft clarified: Office will continue to exist as a local version of the software

Yesterday, it was reported that Microsoft Office will be merged into Microsoft 365 and will be part of Microsoft 365.

But Microsoft today clarified that Office will continue to exist as a native version of the software, and according to Microsoft officials, users will be able to access programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook normally as part of Microsoft 365.

At the same time, Microsoft will also continue to provide one-time buyout services like Office 2021 and Office LTSC, and the original Office 365 subscription plan will not change.

In other words, replacing Office through Microsoft 365 is essentially just a brand change, and will not have much of an obvious impact on users.
