The first game to support Intel XeSS technology officially launched the patch
According to the announcement on the Steam game page, "Tomb Raider: Shadow" has officially joined the XeSS oversampling technology support under DX12 in the latest update patch, becoming the world's first game that officially supports Intel XeSS technology.
According to previous test results, in the XeSS performance mode, "Tomb Raider: Shadow" can achieve a frame rate improvement of 52% to 88%.
In addition, XeSS also has a "super quality" mode, in which XeSS will oversample based on a higher base resolution, thereby improving the detailed performance of the picture.
In this mode, 4K and 2K resolutions of Shadow of the Tomb Raider can get a performance boost of 16% to 23%.
XeSS not only supports its own Arc graphics card, but also supports NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards. After testing, it can work normally, and there is no problem with stability.
At present, Intel has released the XeSS technology SDK on GetHub to help game developers add XeSS adaptation to their games, but the source code is not open source yet:
