iPadOS 16.1 Beta 4 preview released: the old iPad can finally use the front-end scheduling

Earlier this year, at WWDC 22, Apple brought a new front-end scheduling feature to the iPad, which allows users to open multiple application windows on the iPad at the same time for a computer-like operating experience.

Today, Apple pushed the iPadOS 16.1 developer preview version Beta 4. In this version, Apple expanded the applicable models of the pre-stage scheduling function, so that the iPad Pro with A12 series chips can also use this function.

However, while expanding the scope of application, this update also removes the support of the front-of-stage scheduling function for external displays. According to the official statement, this function will return in subsequent updates, but only supports the use of the M1 iPad.
